Together with other parties, SwimWatch has been working on an automated version of the Start Analyzer. The object was to create a fully automated system, so start analysis without any manual/human intervention. This project is made possible with the cooperation of InnoSportNL.
The system has been developed in 2008 and is installed in swimming centre De Tongelreep in Eindhoven, in the south of the Netherlands. It has already been used by Jacco Verhaeren, the coach of Pieter van den Hoogenband, Marleen Veldhuis and Inge Dekker prior to the Olympics in Beijing.
|
In 2009 and 2010, work has been done to improve the accuracy of the system and extend the number of parameters. If you are interested in automated video analysis: contact SwimWatch through email and ask for more detailed information!
These pictures are taken from the demonstration video, 50% size (origineel 712 x 568 pixels), see the link below the pictures for a link to the video.
Swimmer in this test is Roald van der Vliet (Manager InnoSportLab), coach is (for this occasion) Marcel de Natris.
